RejeX®, one of the first quartz / ceramic nanocoatings to be commercialized is still in use by the US Navy today.
In 2001, at the behest of the US Air Force, RejeX was initially created to fulfill the U.S. military’s stringent standards for corrosion prevention, specifically to shield military aircraft jet turbine exhaust from deteriorating paint and corroding aluminum surfaces.
RejeX, a very thin, non-porous film – less than a micron thick – is designed to provide a high-release protective finish for all types of vehicles.
It prevents stains and adhesion of common contaminants such as exhaust, bugs, tree sap, bird droppings, acid rain, hard water stains, road grime, brake dust, etc. It also makes graffiti easy to remove.
Today, its applications span a wide spectrum—from the U.S. Navy’s most advanced surface ships and corporate jets to high-performance race cars, boats, yachts, motorcycles, buses, trucks, tractors, industrial vehicles and minivans.
